Accessibility Statement
We believe the web should work for everyone.
Pyromaniac Digital strives to ensure that its website is accessible to people with disabilities. We have invested in making our website content accessible and user-friendly for all visitors, and we are continually improving the user experience.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
WCAG 2.1 Level AA
We have conducted an accessibility audit of this website and addressed all identified issues. Our current conformance measures include:
Semantic HTML Structure
All pages use proper heading hierarchy (h1 through h3 in order), semantic landmarks (nav, main, footer), and descriptive link text. Skip-to-content navigation is available on every page.
Color Contrast
All text meets or exceeds WCAG AA contrast ratios. Body text achieves a minimum 7.97:1 contrast ratio against our dark backgrounds. Headlines achieve 19.46:1. Our accent color (#FF0066) achieves 4.63:1 against our background, meeting the AA threshold for large text.
Keyboard Navigation
All interactive elements (links, buttons, form inputs, accordion items) are fully accessible via keyboard. Focus indicators are clearly visible on all interactive elements.
Motion and Animation
All animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion operating system setting. When reduced motion is enabled, scroll-triggered animations and typing effects are disabled, and content is displayed immediately.
Links and Controls
All links and interactive controls use descriptive text, adequate touch-target sizes, and visible focus states. Links that open in a new tab announce that behavior to screen readers.
ARIA and Screen Readers
Navigation elements include ARIA labels for screen reader identification. Decorative SVGs and background elements are hidden from the accessibility tree. Interactive components (accordions, menus) use Radix UI primitives with built-in ARIA support.
How this site is built for accessibility.
This website is built with Next.js and uses server-side rendering to ensure content is available before JavaScript loads. We use semantic HTML5 elements throughout and rely on Radix UI for accessible interactive components. Our design system uses fluid typography that scales proportionally across all screen sizes.
We test across modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and verify that all functionality works with keyboard-only navigation.
